Abstract

The field book documents C. P. Rowley's field work in Alabama and Georgia, February 10 - March 1894. Entries are dated and provide a narrative of daily activities, terrain and vegetation, travel details, descriptions of plantations (including crops), as well as observations and specimen collecting of mammals (rodents). A large portion of the notebook is blank. Location information includes the names of plantations and distances from landmarks in the vicinity. Locations includes Savannah, Georgia, and vicinity of Mobile, Alabama, into western coastal Florida (Pensacola).
