This field book consists of the field notes of Robert W. Read from a collecting trip to Brazil in 1975. The field notes include: narrative notes describing landscape and vegetation, entries for specimens collected, specimen labels (throughout entries), sketches, notes on photographs taken, and pressed specimens. Collector numbers 3400 through 3666 are included. Specimen entries generally include collector number, scientific name, locality, and observations about physical appearance and abundance / rarity. Localities include: Bahia, CEPEC. Includes correspondence with Dan Nicolson on species of Montrichardia.
