Abstract

Field catalog of birds collected by C. L. McKay from 6 June 1881 to 3 April 1882 in Alaska. Specimens are numbered 1-115. A second section of the book lists which of these also include eggs. Descriptions include scientific name of bird, color, quantity collected, date collected, sex, marks, sometimes measurements, other remarks, and locality. Egg descriptions include level of freshness, nest information, and other remarks. Localities include Nushagak, Aleknagik lake, Bear Creek, Ugashik, Egushik [possibly Igushik], Mulchatna River, Point Constantine, and others. Index is included in the back.
