Abstract

Black-and-white photographs of plant specimens and boundary sites. According to the Smithsonian Institution Archives finding aid, these photographs were taken between 1892 and 1894. Photos are labeled 1893 or undated. Photos seem to be prepared for publication; some photos have an "m.s. [manuscrip?] pg." noted on the back. Photos depict plants, landscapes, and monument markers. Includes some duplicates. Some photos of specimens include numbers; numbers range from 2617-2689 in this folder. Localities include but are not limited to Pima County, AZ; Santa Cruz River, Sonora (Mexican Boundary Line); and [Baboquivari?] Creek, AZ.
