Abstract

The field book documents A. H. Howell's field work in Arkansas, Kentucky, Montana, Ohio, South Dakota, Tennessee, West Virginia, March 12 - July 28, 1910. Entries are dated and sometimes headed with location. Entry contents varies. Includes lists of wildlife (birds and mammals) seen per site with quantity, sometimes with time of day; sizes of flocks with notes on abundance; tables of types of wildlife with quantity, location, and date; and some notes on habitat including elevation, type of crop. Documents specimens 3701 - 3839, with type, location and date. Locations include numerous towns in each of the states.
