Abstract

Field notes of birds and eggs MacFarlane collected in Northwest Territories, Canada, from 26 May 1862 to 10 May 1863. Entries are numbered 1 (7285) to 550. Several numbers between are missing. MacFarlane records scientific name, sex, quantity of eggs if any, location, measurements, date collected, and descriptions of the bird's nest, physical description, and collecting details. Localities include Lockhart River, Anderson River, Fort Anderson, "Barren Grounds", "Wooded Country", and others.
