The field book documents A. H. Howell's field work in Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Virginia, July - August 1908. Includes a table of birds, and across the top, location (town and state) and date; lists of plants seen per date and location. Sometimes elevation is noted. Includes lists of photographs taken per roll of film, and specimens collected with type, sex, and measurements.
