Abstract

The field book documents A. H. Howell's field work in Kansas, New Mexico, and Texas, June 15 - September 27, 1903. Entries are dated and describe observations of birds (numbers, sex, sometimes with notes on habitat and behavior) per site, specimens collected, and lists of birds and abundance. Locations include but not limited to the vicinity of Carlyle, Kansas; the vicinity of Lipscomb, Higgins, Texas; Clayton, Folsom, New Mexico; Trinidad, Long Canyon, Colorado.
