Abstract

The plant catalog documents Ned Hollister's field work in California, June - October, 1909. Information includes specimen number (1 - 113), type (binomial, common name), description of terrain and surrounding growth where collected, locality (name of ranch, geological landmark (mountain), distance from town, state), and date. Sometimes includes elevation. There are 2 photographs of vistas of Black Mountains and a typed list of plants (with specimen number) received from Hollister in 1909. Locations include the vicinity of Napa county, Mount Veeder, Siskiyou mountains, Siskiyou county, Colusa county.
