Abstract

Notes on a Collecting Expedition to Chepachet Post Office, Glocester Township, Providence County, Rhode Island, made by Dr. Edgar A. Mearns and his son, Louis di Zerega Mearns,1-8 September 1900. Mearns begins with a narrative summary of the trip, describing setting traps, and describing the general surrounding environment. Included are several lists: 1) plants seen; 2) fish of Chepachet collected; 3) measurements for specimens of Peronyscus collected in Chepachet and Newport; 3) list of mammals of Chepachet and surrounding regions of Glocester Township (as seen by or reported to Mearns).
