Abstract

Each page of this unbound notebook lists a species of shell (mollusk) under which collections of that species are recorded. Mearns collected these specimens between 1876 and 1891. Recorded is the locality and date of the collection and repository to which it was sent. These notes were likely compiled from field notes of several different trips. Localities include Fort Snelling, New York; Highland Falls, New York; Fort Myer, Virginia; Circleville, Ohio; and other localities.
