Abstract

This field book consists of the field notes of T. R. Soderstrom from collecting trips to Laos, Nepal, and Taiwan in 1974. Entries include general notes such as travel information, diary-type entries, to-do lists, contact information for colleagues and institutions, expenses, and specimen notes. Specimen notes include: collector number (or range), scientific name, locality, habitat. Abundance / rarity, growth habit, local growing knowledge, and other observations are also occasionally included in the entries. Some entries include sketches. Geographic coordinates are included with some entries. Localities include: Taipei (Taiwan), Pa Nan Island (?), Nam Ngum (Laos). Included are several business cards and two train maps (with routes drawn in by hand) of Taiwan. Lists of photographs are included in the back of the book.
