Abstract

The field inventory documents Douglas R. Emlong's field work on the west coast of the United States, 1964-1966. Includes a topographic map (1967) of Oregon. Includes specimen number 227 - 362. Details include type of specimen (part of skeletal structure), type (porpoise, whale), geological period, formation or drift, locality description (geological composition; geological landmarks, sometimes indicating distance from), when collected (season, year). Locations include along beaches and along rivers and creeks. Most specimens are from the Miocene period. Locations include the vicinity of "Iron Mountain bed", Charleston, Newport, Oregon.
