Abstract

The journal documents the field work of Edward A. Goldman in Mexico, February 20 - March 30, 1926. The notebook is a continuation of item, Goldman, E. A., Mexico, January 1926 - February 1926. Pages are numbered. Entries are dated and describe travel details (destinations, time of day, routes, mode of transportation), terrain (marshes and soil composition), vegetation, wildlife (birds and mammals) including types and numbers, notes on local produce describing price and sources, lists of birds seen, weather, summaries of wildlife observations by colleagues, and contacts and their information. Entries include headings of types of wildlife (birds) with numbers, local names, behavior, habitat where observed, and notes on appearance. Locations include Acambaro, Lake Cuitzeo [Lago de Cuitzeo], Ocotlán, in states of Guanajuato and Chihuahua.
