Abstract

The journal documents the field work of Edward A. Goldman in Arizona and California, October 13 - November 28, 1922. In the front of the notebook are notes on locations and travel and contact information. Entries are dated and describe travel details (destinations, distances, routes, campsites), terrain (altitude, geological details, life zones), wildlife observed (mammals including deer, birds), specimens collected, vegetation (type, grazing areas), work with local staff and officials, and game preserves visited. Locations include Mount Logan, Diamond Butte, Virgin Mountains, Grand Wash, Grand Canyon, Arizona.
