Abstract

This field book includes Soderstrom's notes from a collecting trip to Puerto Rico and Costa Rica in 1971 and Puerto Rico in 1981. Entries consist of notes on specimens collected, photograph lists, and general collecting notes. Specimen notes include collector number, scientific name, physical descriptions (size, color, maturity, other observations), vial numbers (occasional), and solution / formula. Entries are arranged chronologically by date and locality. Localities include: Federal Experiment Station, Mayaguez (Puerto Rico), and possibly others. Sketches of plants can be found throughout the book.
