Abstract

The photograph album documents Alexander Wetmore's work in Panama during 1963. Photographs are numbered, and captioned with location, description, and date. Subject matter includes mud flats, shorelines, and forests; birds and their tracks; towns and individual structures; villages inhabitants doing daily activities; candid images of Panamanian employees; preparation and examples of specimens; lodgings; and camp sites. Locations include in the vicinity of Gatún, Barro Colorado, Chiriquí, San Blas, and Armila. Includes photographs of Wetmore, Beatrice Thielen Wetmore, Harvey R. Bullis, Jr., Charles O. Handley, Jr., and Francis Greenwell.
