Abstract

The photograph album documents Alexander Wetmore's work in Panama in 1960. Most sites visited are in the vicinity of Pearl Islands and Chiriqui. Photographs are numbered, and captioned with location, description, and date. Subject matter shorelines (beaches, rivers); open terrain of Chiriqui; birds, nests, and their environs; structures in villages; candid images of colleagues and Panamanian employees; examples of vegetation; and preparing specimens. Includes photographs of Wetmore, Beatrice Thielen Wetmore, and Frank Alexander Hartman.
