Abstract

This field book was kept by Lyman B. Smith in Costa Rica in 1966. One half of the book was used as a journal and the other half was used to record plants collected. Journal entries are narrative and describe Smith's collecting activities, observations of vegetation and landscape, and travels. The second half of the book includes a list of plants collected by Smith in Costa Rica in 1966. Collector numbers 15301 through 15330 are included. Entries list collector number, scientific name. Occasionally entries will list physical characteristics of the specimen, locality collected, date. Localities include: Cartago, San Jose, San Isidro, and possibly others. Includes a list of photographs.
