Abstract

This field book includes the field notes of Lyman B. Smith from Argentina, Uraguay, and Brazil in 1968. Most of the notes appear to be notes on specimens in herbaria visited by Smith during his trips. Herbaria include: Inst. Miguel Lillo, Cordoba, Instituto de Botanica Agricola, Montevideo, University of Sao Paulo, and possibly others. Also included in the book are journal entries that describe collecting activities, travels, and other information. Smith includes to-do lists and lists of colleagues and contact information at the different herbaria. Includes a newspaper clipping with an article entitled "Brazil Tightens Curbs on Economy".
