Abstract

The journal and news clipping document Vernon Orlando Bailey's fieldwork in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, November 2 - December 4, 1931. Entries are dated and describe travel to Richmond, Virginia to wild life sanctuary, noting deer populations, contact information for individuals at meetings relating to sanctuary, individuals with whom he worked, farms visited, vegetation (including crops i.e. peanuts), lists of flora and fauna (mammals) observed per location, and beaver populations and habitat. Locations include Lake Drummond, Virginia; Asheville, North Carolina.
