Abstract

The photograph album documents the work of Alexander Wetmore in Panama during 1958. Photographs include numbers, dates, and captions with description and location. Subject matter includes shorelines; structures and images of towns; rivers; Panamanian staff; collecting, preparing, and tagging specimens; observed birds and their environs; acquaintances and colleagues; and members of the La Jagua Hunting Club. Locations include vicinity of Bocas del Toro, Rio Sixaola, Bahía Almirante, and Isla Escudo de Veraguas. Includes photographs of Wetmore and Beatrice Thielen Wetmore. Also includes photographs of the Canal Zone Biological Area.
