Abstract

The photograph album (Volume 2) documents Alexander Wetmore's work in Panama in 1957. Photographs include numbers, date, and caption with description and location. Subject matter includes shorelines; flocks of birds; candid scenes of Panamanians and their families; towns and structures; bull-fighting; examples of area vegetation (Mangrove roots). Locations include vicinity of Los Santos, Isla Iguana,Tonosí, Barro Colorado, Colón. Includes photographs of Wetmore, Beatrice Thielen Wetmore, Carl B. Koford, and Graham Bell Fairchild. Also includes photographs of the Canal Zone Biological Area
