Abstract

This catalog contains two sections. The first section lists specimens Jouy collected from 10 May 1883 to 2 June 1886. Scientific name, sex, age, locality, and date are recorded. Occasionally lengthy descriptions on color, physical appearance, abundance, and other collecting details are included. Collector numbers 1065 to 1634 are included. Japan localities include Fukaye Island, Tsushima, and other areas. Korea localities include Soul and surrounding area, Fusan [currently Pusan], and other localities. The second section of notes contain miscellaneous specimen shipping lists, list of alcoholic specimens, and "notes on Jap. methods of [?] and fishing" taken in Yokohama.
