Abstract

Specimen list of birds Ingersoll collected in North Carolina and Florida from 12 September 1895 to 17 April 1896. Collector numbers 1 to 282 are included. Recorded are common names, localities, dates, and sex. Occasionally "y" is written next to sex, possibly indicating yearling or young. Also included is a letter to R. Ridgeway providing information on the color of the bill, eyes, feet, and legs of Ingersoll's specimens at Ridgeway's request. Localities include Bogue Banks (NC), Mullet Lake (FL), Lake Harvey (FL), Sebastian (FL), and Geneva (FL).
