Abstract

The photograph album documents Alexander Wetmore's work in Panama in 1952. Photographs include numbers, date, and caption with description and location. Subject matter includes hills and shorelines of Taboga Island; structures and environs of Barro Colorado; Panamanian staff; Panamanians in daily activities; Perrygo and Wetmore preparing specimens; observed wildlife; and examples of transportation during travels (on the waterways). Locations photographed include vicinity of Taboguilla Island. Includes photographs of Wetmore, Watson M. Perrygo, Harold Trapido, and James Zetek. Also includes photographs of the Canal Zone Biological Area.
