This field book includes plant lists and journal entries by A. C. Smith in the West Indies in 1956. Collector numbers 10001 through 10602 are included. Plant list entries list: collector number, scientific name, local name / uses, habit, habitat, altitude (ft), date, flower and fruit notes, locality, "wood from", and no spec. Journal entries are included for March 2 through April 21. The entries are long and diary-like, and include descriptions of daily activities, collecting work, work with colleagues, and travel. Localities include: Nevis, Antigua, Guadeloupe, Trinidad, Dominica, Grenada.
