Abstract

This field book consists of a list of plants collected by James W. Robbins in 1824 in Maryland and the District of Columbia and in Virginia from 1825 to 1826. Collector numbers 1 through are included. Entries list collector number, scientific name, date. Most entries contain longer notes with physical descriptions, habitat, and other observations. A small booklet with a list of Virginia plants, 1825-1826, is inserted in the field book. Entries in this insert include collector numbers 1 through 144. Localities include: Gordonsdale (VA), Pomonkey (MD), and Potomac River (MD).
