Abstract

These are field records of collected porpoise and pinniped in Japan by Ford Wheeler, 1949. Include preprinted sheets detailing series, number (23 - 36, 56 - 60), species, sex, date, locality (with latitude and longitude), circumstances and remarks (weather, temperature, collecting method), weight, and more than 19 types of measurements. There is a note at the bottom indicating the form is from US Fish and Wildlife Service, Division of Wildlife Research. Sheets are numbered. Locations include Onahama, Ryori Island, and Esashi.
