Abstract

Field book containing a combination of diary like notes on bird observations and specimen lists of birds collected by Fox in the Eastern United States, 7 March 1882- 14 October 1885. Collector numbers 1402-1989 are included. For bird observations, Fox describes song, behavior / activities, and appearance of the bird. Also included are comments about the weather. Localities include Chattanooga (Tennessee), Lookout Mountain (Tennessee), District of Columbia (Washington, D.C.), Hollis (New Hampshire), Rockwood (Tennessee), Campton Village (New Hampshire) and New York. Index included. 224 pages. Additional pages of notes are inserted after page 224.
