Abstract

Field book containing a combination of diary like notes on bird observations and specimen lists of birds collected by William Henry Fox in New York and New Hampshire, 16 February 1886 to February 1888, December 1891. Collector numbers 1990-2243 are included. For bird observations, Fox describes song, behavior / activities, and appearance of the bird. Also included are comments about the weather. For birds collected, he includes scientific names and measurements, and sometimes sex. Localities include New York City, Spuyten Duyvil (Brox), Hollis (New Hampshire), and various localities on Long Island. 90 pages.
