Abstract

The specimen catalog documents Victor B. Scheffer's field work in Washington and Alaska, December 11, 1937 - June 1939. There are also notes and paper written in 1952 about specimens collected in Pribilof Islands, Alaska, 1940 and 1949. The catalog includes type (common and scientific name), specimen number (11 - 600), sex, locality (state, town, elevation, or geographic location i.e. lake or pass), date, 3 measurements, and remarks. Remarks include a variety of details including specimen preparation, weight, condition and contents of anatomy, physical appearance, collector (other than Scheffer), habitat.
