Abstract

This field book includes a list of plants collected by E. W. Nelson with E. A. Goldman in Mexico and Guatemala, from 1894 to 1896. Entries appear to have been made by both collectors. Entries list collector number (1824 through 3999). Physical descriptions (color, size, shape, etc.), and common names (shrub, grass, vine, etc.) are included with most of the entries. Many entries have scientific names, written at the time or at a later date. Longer, more descriptive notes on specimens can be found interspersed throughout the book. A short list of plants collected by Goldman on Tula trip is pasted in the back of the book and includes collector numbers 3933 though 3940. Localities include: Oaxaca, Guerrero, Chiapas (Mexico).
