Abstract

The field book documents Gerrit S. Miller's collecting in New York, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts, June 12, 1888 - April 14, 1890. Information is entered from the back and front of volume. Pages are numbered. Dated entries describe observed and collected birds and their habitats, bird lists, as well as botanical specimens. Observations also list other types of fauna observed. From the back is a specimen list organized by field number, name, location, and date. Locations includes Cape Cod, Massachusetts; Peterboro, New York; Providence, Rhode Island; Truro, Massachusetts.
