Abstract

The field book documents Gerrit S. Miller's collecting in Geneva, New York, January 28 - June 1,1888. Pages are numbered. Entries are dated and describe observations of birds. Entries are sometimes headed with the type of bird (with scientific name) being observed, followed with a description of behavior and interactions. Some are indicated as being collected specimens, listing quantity, sex, and field number. Entries are interspersed through out the journal with blank pages in between. Sometimes Miller also records weather, temperature, time of day. At the end of the volume is a list of dates with quantities.
