Abstract

Field notes of collections Elbel made from approximately October 11 1953 to 8 June 1955. Collections were mostly made in Thailand, although some specimens were collected in Laos. A typed, detailed list of localities is included. Notes are on various strips of paper for each specimen collected. Notes are in Thai except for the scientific name of the bird. Dates in English were added for many of these entries. Symbols for sex are also included. Collector numbers RE3021 to RE5500 are included. In general, the notes are not in chronological order, although several sections are ordered chronologically. General localities include but are not limited to the provinces of Chaiyaphum (lat 16-30n, long 101-55e), Kanchanaburi (lat 14-20, long 00-30e), Nakhon Ratchasima, Nakhon Sawan, and Rat Buri.
