Abstract

Specimen list of 175 birds Deignan collected in Madagascar from 30 August to 11 November 1962. Data includes scientific name of bird, locality collected, sex, date collected, and additional notes (sometimes physical description and sometimes a note that the skeleton was collected). Abbreviations "t.ne.", "t.e.","o.n.e", or "o.s.e." are sometimes included next to the sex of the bird. Initials in pencil were added next to specimens names, perhaps indicating that determinations were added later. Localities include but are not limited to Abatosoratra, Andreba, Didy (Ambohijanahary), Marovoay, and Ambalanjanakomby.
