Abstract

This item may or may not be a field book. It seems to be a list of birds collected by T. R. Peale and possibly published. Bird names are accompanied by location, and other notes that may include page numbers to published works. The note “names as given by Mr. T. R. Peale (copied verbatim)” is included on the first page. Also included is a list entitled "Peale, 1848", which contains bird names, localities, and notes on rarity or abundance. Localities include but are not limited to Oregon, Brazil, Malacca, New Zealand, Peru, New South Wales, Samoan Islands, and Chile.
