Abstract

This folder contains a letter from Cassin to Baird (Spencer Fullerton Baird) and notes on birds compiled from literature. In Cassin's letter replies to Baird's request for information on the habits of the mammal guanaco. Cassin's six page letter discusses habits and habitat of this animal at various times of the year based on Cassin's observations.
