Abstract

The second of three folders includes loose sheets of paper include segments of specimen descriptions cut from original locations and pasted into a list. Pages are numbered (207-219, 2-66). There a is note in the first folder signed C. W. R., March 25, 1921, indicating that it is most likely a compilation of copied notes from B. R. Ross, R. MacFarlane, D. Gunn, and Robert Kennicott. Segments have been "edited", text crossed out. Includes pasted clippings from related publications. The contents is organized by type, and includes segments listing field number, specimen number, and varying description details such as sex, measurements, habitat (surrounding geological aspects, vegetation), terrain, location and construction of nest, collecting of eggs, behavior of birds, location. Some locations specified include "en route", Franklin Bay, Rendezvous lake (1865), Yuokon [Yukon], Fort Resolution. May include specimens from region in Alaska.
