Abstract

Correspondence and report document field work on sea otter populations in Alaska, 1956-1958. Work includes population estimates by Calvin J. Lensink. Reports and other papers include printed maps with hand written notations about survey areas (with years), and population distribution; tables of observation data; copy of preliminary report on sea otter investigation in Amchitka Island (June 1 - September 14, 1956) with hand noted maps of census areas. The report includes details about most aspects of fieldwork, including lists of supplies and food.
