Abstract

Correspondence, report, and maps discuss observations, and aerial survey results describe walrus populations in the vicinity of the Bering Sea. The report relates to an overview and discussion of the Atlantic and Pacific Walrus population along the east coast of the United States as well at Arctic Ocean and Bering Sea. Correspondence discusses sealing expedition on Windward; edits to manuscript; Little Diomede Walrus Study, 1958; and various maps with routes, sometimes with dates. Correspondents include Richard H. Manville. Includes a hand drawn map of routes traveled and walrus population notes in Bering Sea.
