Abstract

The correspondence documents mammals specimens, 1951-1958. Information varies, and includes a combination of scientific name, age, sex, collector, location (i.e. island), date, specimen numbers, and measurements. Specimens include fur seals, porpoises, sea lions, and a variety of other Arctic region mammals. Some specimens were transferred to the US National Museum as well as Cooperative Wildlife Research units. There is also a photocopy of a memorandum listing vessel position data. Specimens are from Japan, Bering Sea, Alaska, Pribilof Islands.
