Abstract

This field book consists of a list of plants in the collection of Joseph Nelson Rose. Locations include: Mexico, Costa Rica, Cuba and the southwestern United States (including Texas, California, Arizona, and others), from 1906 to 1908. Entries list numbers (06.1 through 08.1230); scientific name; location; locality; collector (when differ from Rose); and date. Several collectors are listed. Some entries also include references to other numbers, possibly collector numbers. Longer narrative notes describing collecting condition, habitat, and physical descriptions of specimens, accompany some of the entries.
