Abstract

This field book is one of two notebooks that contain notes from a field trip Bean took to the Washington state and Idaho for the United States Fish Commission from September 19 to October 19. This notebook contains notes from September 19-29. Bean uses shorthand extensively throughout this notebook. Notes describe flora and fauna of the area surrounding several bodies of water including Spokane, Post Falls, Thompson's Falls, Prospect Creek, Sand Point, Hangman's Creek, Albeni Falls Dam, and Pend Orielle River.
