PrintFirst volume of field notes containing detailed descriptions of nests for various species of birds observed and eggs collected by Bendire and his colleague Mr. Spring in and near Tuscon, Arizona. This volume contains notes from from 16 March to 9 June 1872. Set numbers for eggs range is approximately 18 to 475. Descriptions of nests also include type of tree or plant the nest is in. "Rillito Creek" (probably Rillito River) is where much of the nests were found.
