Abstract

Manuscript notes of a projected study of birds of the Mexican boundary complied by Mearns. Various bird species collected over the years during the United States and Mexican Boundary Survey and in subsequent trips to the same areas are listed, under which corresponding collections with dates, number (probably collector, but possibly USNM catalog number), sex, age, and locality collected are listed. Localities include but are not limited to Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado River, California, Sonora and other Mexico localities, and Fort Snelling (Minnesota). Also includes some measurement charts and a note card showing the “Geographic distribution of Agelaius phoeniceus”.
