Abstract

This folder is one of three containing correspondence from 1911-1913, which included letters from curators at the United States National Museum regarding specimens sent to the museum by Mearns, correspondence from Childs Frick, letters from the American Legation in Adis Ababa, and more. Correspondence is arranged chronologically. This folder contains correspondence from 1911. Letters from the following were included: Secretary (his letter introduces Mearns, e.g., to the diplomatic and consular officers of the United States) of the National Museum; Abercrombie and Fitch regarding expedition outfits; letters regarding collections shipped to the National Museum; curator and Assistant Secretary about collections from the Expedition.
