Abstract

This is volume two of list of birds Mearns collected for the Childs Frick Expedition to Africa, volume I, 3 June to 11 October 1912. Collector numbers 22061 to 24219 are included. Sometimes Mearns's descriptions include physical descriptions of specimens including color and occasionally the behavior of the bird and how common it is. Localities include but are not limited to Yebo (currently Yebu), Wobok, Hor, Mount Indunumara, Guaso Nyiro River (currently Ewaso Ng’iro), and Jana River. A two page hand written narrative summary of the Childs Frck African Expedition is inserted at the end of the book.
