Abstract

Field notes on birds Mearns mostly observed (and some that he collected) from February to July 1912 in Africa. Includes notes from Mount Ingualo, Gidabo River, Ballal River, and birds seen at Escarpment, altitude 7390 feet, Uganda River. Mearns sometimes records such information as sex, age, physical description, and description of the bird's song.
